key heart disease risk factor, affecting one in three Americans. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sage may help lower \u201cbad\u201d LDL cholesterol, which can build up in your arteries and potentially cause damage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In one study, consuming sage tea twice daily lowered \u201cbad\u201d LDL cholesterol and total blood cholesterol while raising \u201cgood\u201d HDL cholesterol after just two weeks (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/19865527\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight:
